Born in Rome, following his studies at the Liceo Artistico and a degree in Transportation Design , Leonardo built a solid background through prestigious educational and professional experiences within Italy’s most renowned design and automotive institutions. Most notably, he spent nearly two decades with the Piaggio Group, holding creative leadership roles across both Italian and international markets, where he oversaw the styling of 2, 3, and 4-wheel vehicles.

A lifelong enthusiast of sailing and the sea, Leonardo has seamlessly integrated his expertise in road vehicles with a specialized focus on Yacht Design. He has successfully transferred his design sensitivity to the nautical world, a sector where attention to detail, emotional resonance, and the management of complex volumes are the true hallmarks of excellence.

As a Senior Designer with extensive project management experience, he possesses a profound understanding of the entire development process: from free-hand sketching to CAS modeling, through to the application of advanced materials such as carbon fiber and GRP.

Leonardo brings this multidisciplinary know-how to DDESIGN LAB, partnering with those who seek a design capable of merging emotion and precision, creating solutions that leave a distinctive mark both on the road and on the water.

Motorbiker and sailor, he currently lives on the Tuscan coast, one of the primary hubs of the Italian nautical industry.

Marco Di Gregorio’s journey into the world of design stems from a deep family heritage: a lifelong passion for engines and a natural sensitivity for sketching, nurtured under the guidance of his father, a professor of fine arts. 

This creative background has been consolidated through twenty years’ experience at Piaggio, where Marco played a leading role in redesigning the Group’s entire Piaggio-branded range, creating top-of-the-range vehicles. He has combined a cutting-edge design vision with the dynamic world of motorcycling, which he has experienced first-hand as a motorcyclist himself.

His vision is fueled by a constant curiosity for every expression of form. The influences drawn from sectors such as architecture, interior, and product design represent a fundamental resource for him: inspirations that allow him to think outside traditional boundaries, integrating new balances between volumes, spaces, and materials into his projects.

Today, at DDESIGN LAB, Marco translates this multidisciplinary approach into high-end projects spanning from automotive to yacht design. His mission is to converge his solid expertise in the transportation industry with an evolved aesthetic research, transforming every concept into a perfect synthesis of innovation, consistency, and pure design.
